Why Am I So Single!?

And how being single can actually be a strength.

What many people don’t realise is that being single in today’s world isn’t always about loneliness. It’s more about healing. Some people are single because they’ve outgrown the need for trauma bonds, and that makes them incompatible with relationships built on pain.

I’m not sharing this to tell you that relationships are bad or that you should stay single forever. This is about perspective. If you’re single right now, it doesn’t have to mean you’re broken or unworthy. It can mean you’ve chosen strength, healing, and alignment over settling for less than you deserve.

Unfortunately, trauma bonds have become the unspoken template of our culture. They’re the reason so many connections feel draining instead of nourishing.

Being single isn’t a punishment, it’s space you’ve created for the right kind of love, whether that comes from within or from someone who truly matches your growth.

When you’ve done the inner work and chosen peace, you naturally seek partners who can meet you with authenticity, emotional strength, and respect. But here’s the challenge: most people are still carrying emotional wounds, and healed individuals find it difficult to settle for less.

The truth is, nearly 90% of relationships and marriages we see are tied to trauma bonds. They look like love on the outside, but inside, both partners “need” the other to feel whole because of unresolved pain.

The problem? Relationships rooted in unhealed wounds usually end up as quiet forms of suffering – comfortable, yet heavy; familiar, yet suffocating. Many stay, not because of love, but out of fear of being alone.

And that’s where choosing to stay single becomes powerful. Being single can mean choosing growth over repetition, clarity over confusion, and self-respect over cycles that don’t serve your soul.

Because when hurt keeps attracting hurt, silence becomes the glue, and cycles repeat endlessly, until someone decides to step away.

So, if you’ve been asking yourself, “Why am I so single?!” remember this: maybe your singleness isn’t a problem to fix. Maybe it’s proof of your healing.

Let that sink in for a moment…
