Movement keeps the body alive, but meditation awakens the soul.
While we can see movement, stillness is subtle and felt. It’s where awareness deepens and where clarity and peace begin to form. Some people chase constant activity because silence feels uncomfortable, while others discover that within stillness lies a profound intelligence; the space where life speaks the loudest without saying a word.

Without stillness, our awareness remains on the surface. We see, but we don’t truly observe. Many people I’ve spoken to about their meditation experiences often say, “nothing happened,” or admit they gave up after trying it once. I used to wonder why. Over time, I realised it’s because most people aren’t prepared to face what meditation reveals. It’s not always gentle or predictable… sometimes, what it shows us goes far beyond the ordinary, even challenging what science can explain.
The Mind’s Resistance to Silence
This is often the most challenging part of meditation. The mind has grown so accustomed to the constant noise of modern life that silence sometimes feels uncomfortable. When meditation begins to dissolve those mental boundaries, to go deeper into the unseen layers of awareness , the mind naturally resists. Yet, it’s within that very silence that the answers you’ve been searching for quietly begin to show themselves.

The Real Secret to Meditation,
However, is this… when we stop running from that inner discomfort and face it head-on, we step into the true state of meditation. It’s not about escaping the mind’s chaos, but moving through it, until stillness naturally finds you.
Naturally, the true power of the human mind still remains largely untapped. Ever wonder why? It’s because most people live within a “herd mentality.” They operate from the same limited 5% of the mind, designed only for survival. And it’s not anyone’s fault. The weight of daily responsibilities – earning a living, maintaining relationships, managing homes, and meeting endless obligations; keeps us locked in that survival mode, leaving little room to explore the deeper dimensions of our consciousness.

The Space Between Thoughts
Overthinking has quietly become one of the most common struggles of our time. In 2025, finding true time for ourselves feels like a lost art. Most of us are running on autopilot; as if we’re no longer behind the wheel of our own lives. So who’s driving? Consumerism, corporations, society, technology, and the endless chase for career validation.
But if we can dedicate just 20 minutes a day to just ourselves; free from people’s influence, digital noise, and external distractions, the impact can be far greater than we imagine. Out of the 24 hours we’re given each day, those 20 minutes are equivalent to barely a minute and a half in the grand scheme of time. Yet they hold the power to completely shift our mental and emotional balance.
Why Should You Even Practice Meditation?
Meditation brings back the balance we’re all searching for. It helps align the body clock, builds discipline, and gradually reveals what lies “between the lines.” The more you practice, the clearer your perception becomes, and with that clarity comes greater control over your emotions, reactions, and empathy.
You might wonder why all this matters. Well, when you zoom out and look at life as a whole, you’ll see that we’re not just humans trying to be spiritual; we’re spirit experiencing what it means to be human. It’s essential to reconnect with our spiritual self if we truly want to enjoy this journey of life instead of constantly struggling against it. And that connection can only happen when we start prioritising ourselves; our peace, our time, and our inner growth.
